Attendance

Attendance at 95% and above allows children to maximise their academic and social learning experiences. We aim to deliver a curriculum that builds upon prior learning, meaning that time away from school can lead children to have gaps in their knowledge and understanding. To help us monitor attendance, it is important that we are notified of reasons behind all absences.

If we do not hear from you regarding your child's absence, we will send a message via Arbor asking you to get in touch. If we are unable to make contact, this may result in a welfare check and a referral to children's services if concerns persist. Please reach out to Mrs Phillips or Mrs Figueiredo, if you have any queries.

It is law that children attend school for 190 days of the year. The tables below show how absences impact attendance percentages and learning hours.
